How can I remove a tiny Laptop ***** with philips head that has almost completely worn away?

The ***** is on the underside of the laptop. I have the correct size screw-driver (tested on another screw) but unfortunately the previous owner of the laptop wore the head away. The ***** is tiny (perhaps 4mm) – and the head is effectively a circular rim now – with nothing to grip.
